A baby asleep in the loving arms of a mother says peace to me. I am so pleased to be part of this project. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and your enthusiasm.

"This was my first time carving a wood block and I am so excited to see the final product! My design represents peace in two ways for me - one personal, and one on a broader level.
When I have the time and the frame of mind to sit on my porch and drink coffee and read that is a truly peaceful thing for me. I can get so absorbed in a book that problems drift away - and who doesn't love a warm beverage in a favorite mug?
I also think books can contribute to peace. They open our minds to different places and perspectives. The unknown can become known through books - the first step in acceptance and understanding."

"Peace can only happen when people have freedom from political, racial and sexual oppression, prejudice, violence, fear, hunger, disease, over population, environmental hazards.
The dove and olive branch have been symbols of peace since early Christian times. Birds represent freedom, they can fly across borders and soar above the earth .
My hope is that we can overcome all the challenges to bring spiritual and civil peace to this beautiful earth.
I feel honored to be a part of this international woodcut Peace Puzzle Print. Thank you Maria our fearless leader!"
